History on how Pythagoras discovered the Pythagorean Theorem.

The Pythagorean Theorem was discovered long ago by a man named Pythagoras who is attributed with its first geometrical demonstration. Pythagoras was recommended by a famous mathematician by the name of Thales to go to Egypt. So when Pythagoras was 23 years old he arrived in Egypt around 547 BC. After arriving in Egypt he decided to stay for 21 years. While he was there he learned a variety of things including geometry from Egyptian priests. Because of everything Pythagoras learned in Egypt and the time he stayed there most likely it was Egypt where he learned the theorem that is now named after him. Pythagoras returned to his native land and started a school on the island of Samos at the age of 55. However the school was a great idea not very many kids attended it so he decided to move to a city called Croton it is on the south side of Italy. Croton is where he picked up where he left off with his school. The school concentrated mainly on teaching and learning mathematics,Music, Philosophy, and Astronomy and their relationship with Religion. Luckily close to 600 of the worthiest people in the city attended his school including a women by the name of Theana whom he married at the age of 60. The school became a huge success to not only him but to everyone else in the city whom attended this school. Unfortunatly for Pythagoras he had to be exiled from Croton and had to go to Tarentum. After living there for 16 years he moved again and this time to Metapontus where he lived only 4 years before he passed away at the age of 99.
